Welcome From Coach Schmidt
Welcome to the 2005 season of Redskin football
on Heartbreak Ridge. Playing on this field is a
big pay off for our young men who have spent the
last nine months working extremely hard to
exemplify the high standards of Neshaminy
Football. As always, the most important issue we
stress is teamwork and self-sacrifice.
Putting
the team before you requires a special type of
young man, and we feel we have that quality on
this year’s team. Once again, as a football
staff we have to give recognition to our
administration for making football at Neshaminy
a truly great experience. This season, once
again, looks to be very exciting with five home
games on the schedule. The realignment of the
Suburban One League has brought back some old
rivalries and has also allowed us to maintain
longstanding and traditional clashes. The
leadership on our team is of the utmost
importance for the success of our season.
With
Principal Menio’s collaboration with Athletic
Director Sheila Murphy and Superintendent Howard
Wilson will make our coaching jobs both
productive and enjoyable. Both Ms. Murphy and
Mr. Menio work very hard to maintain the high
standards and tradition that is present at
Neshaminy.
Continuing in the spirit of teamwork, I’d also
like to recognize our “N” Club. This booster
club has set a standard as an organization
second to none. Our President, Kim Smith, has
spearheaded a group whose hard work and
diligence continue to make our players and
coaches feel very special and proud.
Once
again, our team has set the bar very high in
terms of its own expectations. Our standards not
only cover the field, but also the classroom,
the hallways, and the community. We consider it
a privilege and an honor to put on our Red and
Blue and walk down that ramp on Friday night. It
is out ultimate goal to earn the support and
respect of our fans and classmates, and I know
this year will be no exception. On behalf of the
Redskin Football Family, please enjoy the
season, and thank you for your support.
Yours in Football,
Coach Mark E. Schmidt |
