Pennsbury Wins 33-0
(Neshaminy out of playoffs)
The annual football contest between the
Neshaminy Redskins and the Pennsbury Falcons is
usually described as a rivalry, a tradition, or
a classic match up. And so as the 2006 edition
of this classic battle drew closer there was
talk of Neshaminy coming out on fire and putting
this one away for pride while others saw this
much improved Pennsbury team playing the spoiler
to Neshaminy's playoff hopes.
Tonight, the grudge match went to Pennsbury as
they defeated the 'Skins 33-0. The Redskins
struggled to get their offense in gear and never
were able to overcome the early deficit. The
Falcon's defense was quick and kept the
Neshaminy runners bottled up early and often.
Pennsbury's running game was relentless and hard
to shut down.
This is a difficult end to the 2006 football season.
We know that all of the players, and especially
the seniors, had hopes of another playoff run.
We wish the best of luck to all of the Redskin
players, especially the Seniors who are now
moving on, thank-you for all you gave to us this
year.
