The instructions
below will show you how to add the Redskins
Photo Gallery or the Redskins Online Forum to
your desktop. You can use these
instructions to add any webpage to your desktop
but it is most effective with interactive pages, RSS feeds,
or other non static content.

Step 1
Right
click a blank area of your desktop and
choose "properties". |

In
the display box, choose the 'desktop' tab and
click "customize desktop". |

In
the 'desktop items' box, choose the "web" tab,
and then click the "new" button. |

Step

When
the 'New Desktop Item' box pops up, type in the
URL of the Online
Forum (or any other web page).
For
the photo gallery, you would choose:
http://www.neshaminyfootball.com/rss_gallery.htm
(The
Photo Gallery RSS feed is offline)
For
the online forum, you would choose:
http://www.neshaminyfootball.com/rss_forum.htm |

Step

Click "OK", at the next dialog box. |

Step

Within a few seconds, Windows will synchronize
the online content with your desktop, wait until
it finishes and this box goes away. |

Step

Click "OK" at the bottom of this box and within
a few seconds, the new online content will be
delivered to your desktop. |

Step

Use
the top and side 'drag handles' to position and
resize the live window to where you want it.
Once
you set the size and location of the window,
you can go back
to the 'Desktop Items' box (pictured above
in Step 7) and click the "Lock Desktop
Items" button. This will lock the window where
you placed it and keep it from moving. |

That's all there is to it. You now have a live
desktop.
The RSS feed is updated at least every
15 minutes so your content is always current. |
